Bestselling fantasy author Terry Brooks is in town today for the latest Northwest Voices Literary Series event. Brooks has been writing since the age of ten, publishing his first novel at that tender age back in 1977; “The Sword of Shannara” spent more than five months on the New York Times Trade Paperback Bestseller list, the first work of fiction to make that list. Brooks has written more than 30 bestselling novels, and also wrote movie adaptations for “Hook” and “Star Wars.” Brooks now lives in the Seattle area; he’ll have a dialogue and Q&A session on writing, running from 3:30 to 5 pm today in the Wollenberg Auditorium at LCC. At 7 pm, Brooks will hold a reading in the Longview Library Auditorium. Both events are free and open to anyone interested.
