Posted on 2nd May 2014 at 16:04

Three people are recovering from minor injuries after a collision that closed Highway 30 near Clatskanie yesterday morning. Oregon State Police say that the crash happened around 8:20 am, when a rented truck driven by Matthew Hendrickson, 29, of Boise rear-ended a Oregon Department of Transportation truck being driven by Winona Pranghofer, 60, of Rainier. Pranghofer was driving slowly, working as a support vehicle for a road sweeper. She had been positioned in the eastbound lane, with flashing lights to warn and slow traffic. Hendrickson hit Pranghofer’s truck from behind, trapping his passenger, Kristin Herup, 45, of Astoria for a short time. Pranghofer, Herup and Hendrickson were all taken to St. John Medical Center, where all three were treated and released. OSP is continuing to investigate the collision; at this point, no citations have been issued.
