The retirement of former Port of Longview Executive Director Ken O’Hollaren didn’t last very long, at least for the time being, as he’s chosen to be the Interim Executive Director for the Port of Port Angeles. The Peninsula Daily News says that the commissioners in Port Angeles unanimously chose O’Hollaren for the position in a special meeting that was held yesterday, chosen over former Port of Port Angeles Executive Director Jerry Hendricks. O’Hollaren will take his new position on August 6th, replacing Jeff Robb, who stepped down for health reasons in late June. Robb has been re-hired as that port’s director of environmental affairs. O’Hollaren retired from the same position at the Port of Longview at the end of last year, after 25 years of work at that port. It’s reported that O’Hollaren will work in this position for six to nine months, while the process for finding a permanent replacement for Robb is completed.
