He was known to many as P3. The popular fourth generation OBGYN will be remembered in a service on Saturday. The memorial service for Doctor Phillip Henderson will be at 2 pm tomorrow at the Cowlitz County Expo Center. Many folks in the community are still trying to deal with the news of his death a week ago. There are generations of parents and babies who came to love and respect Henderson. Many of those fond memories will be shared at what should be a large crowd for his service. Another way locals will have a chance to show respect is by a large community photograph that is planned on Sunday at 2 pm. Former P3 patient Andrea Baker came up with idea and plenty of others have put it in motion including Kay Bridgewater, Jodi Kirkpatrick and Jim Clary. Patients, colleagues, family members and friends are encouraged to come to the Cowlitz County Fairgrounds on Sunday to pose for a photograph that will be given to the Henderson family. The sheer size will put into perspective the impact that Dr. Henderson had on this community. The crane will be provided by JH Kelly and photographer Jimmy Hickey will provide his talent. As the crane and camera lens looks down on the many people Dr. Henderson touched, P3 will also be looking down with a smile as well.
