One week from today, recall election ballots will be going out to Rainier residents, asking them if they think Judith Taylor should remain on the City Council. This is all due to a dispute in management of the Rainier Senior Center, a controversy that Taylor has been right in the middle of. Senior Center Board President Bill Dias claims that Taylor has been “overstepping her responsibilities,” berating board members, staff and volunteers. Dias claims that Taylor has offended a large number of people, and that she is behaving improperly as a public servant. Dias collected 113 valid signatures to initiate the recall election. Ballots must be returned by December 17th.
