After arrest warrants were once again drawn up for Ron and Jonathan Reynolds of Toledo, it appears that the drawn-out saga over the 1998 shooting death of Ronda Reynolds may finally be over. After he’d issued, then quashed warrants twice before, Lewis County Coroner Warren McLeod once again issued arrests warrants for the father and son last Friday morning. He says that state law required him to issue the warrants, despite what the Lewis County Prosecutor said about the limitations in the case. Ron and Jonathan Reynolds both voluntarily appeared in Lewis County Superior Court late Friday morning, where Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer once again stated that he would not pursue the case, due to a lack of admissible evidence. Based on that, Superior Court Judge James Lawler released both men. Neither man made any statements during the hearing, and refused to speak with the press afterward. Unless new evidence emerges, the case is closed.
