A 28 year-old man is at St. John Medical Center, getting treatment for hypothermia after ending up in the Cowlitz River last night. Around 9:15 last night, Kelso Police were called to the area of South 1st and Mill, after getting reports that a man was yelling for help. Officers talked with a boy who had talked with the man, who reportedly said that he needed an ambulance. They made contact with the man a short time later, learning that he had just emerged from the river, and was extremely cold. The man was transported to the hospital; it’s not yet known how or why the man ended up in the water.
