The Washington Department of Transportation is announcing that the ramp from Kelso Drive and Old Pacific Highway to westbound Tennant Way is now open to traffic, about nine hours earlier that had been projected. The ramp wasn’t supposed to re-open until 10 am today, but Wash-DOT officials say that contractors were able to take advantage of good weather, and got the ramp re-opened at 1:30 this morning. WashDOT also says that there’s been a change in the scheduling in the paving project on I-5 down by Woodland. The ramp paving and closures have been pushed back one day. Now, it’s planned that the southbound off-ramp and the northbound on-ramp at exit 22 will be closed from 9 pm tonight until 5 am tomorrow. Tomorrow night, the northbound off-ramp and southbound on-ramp at exit 22 will be closed for paving, then on Thursday, the southbound off-ramp and northbound on-ramp will be closed again. Work will shut down at noon on Friday, so as not to interfere with the Labor Day holiday traffic.
