Robbery Update

Posted on 6th January 2012 at 09:05

The Longview Police Department is publishing screen captures of the suspect involved in Tuesday morning’s armed robbery at the Speedy Mart in Longview, with hopes that the public can help identify the man. At around 3:40 Tuesday morning, the suspect came into the store at 7th and Tennant Way, presented a note to the clerk, then showed what appeared to be a shotgun. He got away after stealing cigarettes and money from the store till. The suspect is described as a white male in his 20’s, about 5-7 with a medium build and a small goatee. It’s thought that the suspect may have taken off in a light-colored car, possibly a late 80’s Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable. Photos of the suspect and the coat he was wearing are now posted on the Longview Police website, and on flashnews.net. If you recognize this suspect, call Longview Police at 442-5800, or leave an anonymous tip on the CrimeStoppers Hotline at 577-1206.Snapshot-17
