Longview Police are still looking for the suspect in a robbery reported last night at the Shell station on Washington Way. The store clerk called 911 at about 9:30 pm, after locking herself in the store bathroom. She says that a man came in, indicated that he had a weapon in his pocket, and demanded cash. After getting an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect took off on foot, heading in the direction of the alley between Washington Way and Vandercook Way. Officers responded to the store, where the clerk came out and gave them a description of the suspect. She says that he’s a white male in his late 30’s or early 40’s, about 5-foot-10, wearing a green-on-green plaid sweatshirt with a gray hood, jeans and sunglasses. She also says that the hood on the sweatshirt was up over the man’s head, and he had a strawberry blond goatee. Officers checked all around the area, but didn’t find anyone. The investigation is continuing.
