Longview Police continue to look for the suspect from a car and foot chase that took place yesterday morning. The car chase started shortly before 7 am yesterday morning, when an Officer spotted a stolen car in the area of Oregon Way and Beech. They say that the suspect sped off, going up Arkansas, then out to the end of the streets in the area of Archie Anderson Park. The suspect apparently drove up onto the dike, and that’s where a passenger jumped out of the car, injuring his back. The suspect continued on, crashing into a carport in the 200 block of 21st. The driver then ran off. A perimeter was set up, some streets were blocked and a K-9 was brought in to try and track the suspect, without success. The man who jumped out of the car was taken to St. John Medical Center, where he was treated and released. Police say that he’s not being charged with anything. The operation was visible to drivers on Industrial Way, with other surrounding streets were blocked until about 9 am. The suspect has not been located, but Sergeant Doug Kazensky says that they do have some possible leads.
