Suspected Burglar Arrested

Kelso Police report the arrest of a “serial burglar,” a man who suspected of breaking into at least eleven local convenience stores. KPD reports that Cody Iver Christianson, 37, of Kelso was taken into custody on the 23rd, charged in connection with at least ten successful store burglaries, along with two other attempted burglaries. They say that each of the break-ins went the same, with the suspect bee-lining to the cigarette cabinets. The loss of property is put in the area of $20,000, along with another $10,000 in damage to the businesses. Detectives continue to investigate possible connections to other crimes; it’s noted that Christianson has 20 prior burglary convictions in Washington.
