The Lewis County Sheriff’s Office is looking for Roger Etter, 39, of Kelso, wanting to question him about the suspicious death of a woman from Chehalis. Around 1:30 this morning, Lewis County Communications reported getting a call from the 500 block of SR 508 near Morton, saying that a man had come to his door, claiming to have been in a crash on Forest Service Road 73. The man said that his fiancé was not breathing after the crash, claiming that they were trying to avoid some people had “jumped” them. The 48 year-old woman from Chehalis was dead by the time aid crews arrived on the crash scene. The 32 year-old man from Randle who showed up at the home near Morton is still being questioned. Detectives say that they think Etter has information that is pertinent to the case.
