There might be some rain, that that shouldn’t affect the delayed showing of “The Longview Story” that’s planned for this evening at the Cowlitz County Historical Museum in Kelso. The 1955 film promoting Longview, its industries and its amenities was “discovered” during the move of the Kelso-Longview Chamber of Commerce from its offices on Olympia Way to its new digs in Kelso. The film was produced by the Chamber as a promotional vehicle for the local area, and features the local mills, the Monticello Hotel, even Molt Taylor and his Aerocar. Current Chamber CEO Bill Marcum will present tonight’s screening of “The Longview Story,” starting at 7 pm. Admission is free; an encore showing is planned for noon tomorrow in the same location.
