A citizen’s tip reportedly led to the recovery of more than $30,000 worth of stolen property, along with a BMW. The Sheriff’s Office got the initial theft report on Monday, when a home in the 2200 block of Hazel Dell Road was burglarized. The residents reported that a 2004 BMW sedan was stolen, along with guns, three flat screen TV’s and a laptop computer. On Tuesday, a tip came in about possible suspects in the case, along with the location of the stolen property. The tip took Deputies to a home on 9th Avenue in Longview, where the BMW was recovered. They also served a search warrant at 333 Oregon Way, where approximately $30,000 worth of high-performance auto parts were seized, along with the keys to the BMW, a TV and ID from the burglary victim. They say that a small amount of heroin was also recovered. Valentino Freitas, 33, and Jeremiah Lee Prueitt, 34, of Longview were arrested and charged with first-degree burglary. Prueitt is also being charged with making false statements to police. Freitas is being held without bail, while Prueitt’s bail is set at $80,000.
