City of Longview officials say that the water system is continuing to stabilize, and that the number of complaints about water quality is continuing to shrink. Public Works Director Jeff Cameron says that they’re encouraged by the continued improvements…MayWaterReport…At last night’s City Council meeting, Mint Farm Project Manager Amy Blain reported that they are still getting about five complaints per week, and they are still delivering water to about a dozen homes. She presented statistics showing that water quality is improving across the board, but they want to address excess chlorine complaints. The city is now exploring the injection of additional dissolved oxygen into the water, which could allow the city to cut back on chlorine. Another report is expected in about three weeks or so.
