The Weather Service is putting out an alert about a strong frontal system that’s coming in today. It looks like the worst of the system may slide by to the north of us, but there still is a Wind Advisory up for the southwest interior of the state, going from 7 am to 8 pm today. Forecasters say that most of the affected area will be from Lewis County northward. Southerly winds of 20 to 30 miles an hour are expected, with gusts of up to 45 miles an hour. The worst winds are expected this afternoon, easing up this evening. Windy conditions are also expected along the coast, with isolated gusts of 50 to 60 miles an hour on open beaches and headlands. They’re saying that we should be ready for windy and rainy conditions for much of the day.
