Oregon State Police are out with the details of that Wednesday morning crash that closed Highway 30 near Columbia City for about 90 minutes. OSP says that the crash happened at 7:10 am on Wednesday, and involved four vehicles. Michael Coy Gibson, 21, of St. Helens had been southbound when his 1990 Volvo crossed the center line of the highway and collided with a Volkswagen Jetta driven by Donald Marion Dealy II, 62, of Aloha. Dealy’s car was then hit by an SUV driven by Shyla Ann Watt, 38, of St. Helens, then was hit again, this time by a car driven by Jeffrey Lee Howell, 58, of Warren. Gibson and Dealy were taken to hospitals in Portland, while Watt and Howell were unhurt. Gibson was cited for DUI, and OSP says that additional charges are pending.
