Friday:
The Columbia River Reader has its “Downtown Walkabout” on Friday evening, starting at 5:30 pm at the CRR offices on the first floor of The Merk. You’ll get a prize for completing the walkabout, along with food and drink specials at participating locations, along with other fun and activities. It’s free to take part.

Longview Stageworks is extending its production of “Murder at the Mansion,” an interactive dinner-murder-mystery through Friday and Saturday night at the Rutherglen Mansion. Curtain each night is 6 pm. Call 636-4488 for ticket information.

The Loves Street Playhouse in Woodland continues its production of “Seven Keys to Baldpate,” with performances Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm, along with a 2 pm Sunday matinee. Call 360-263-6670 for ticket information.

Saturday:
The Elochoman chapter of Ducks Unlimited is holding its annual banquet on Saturday at the Norse Hall in Cathlamet. Games start and the Oyster Bar opens at 4 pm, then the steak dinner will be served at 6 pm. Call 751-8039 or 431-3967 for ticket information.

Tsugawa’s Nursery in Woodland is hosting a Harvest Celebration on Saturday, with a pumpkin weigh-off at noon, a cider press demonstration and tastings, and kids can paint pumpkins for free from 11 am until 3 pm.

The Cowlitz Community Farmer’s Market continues on Saturday, open from 9 am until 2 pm on Saturday in the 7th Avenue parking lot across from the Expo Center.

The Rainier Marina Market continues on Saturday in downtown Rainier. They’ll have produce, herbs, plants, hand-crafted garden furniture, clothing, soaps, jewelry and other specialty items for sale; the kids will also be able to Trick-or Treat at this week’s Marina Market. The Rainier Marina Market is located at 115 East A in Rainier, next to the Bank of America; hours are 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday.

Sunday:
The first annual Rainier Pumpkin Festival is set for this Sunday, running from 1 pm to twilight. Bring your carved pumpkins for an “awe-inspiring pumpkin lighting.” There will be free kids games and crafts, a costume contest, a carving contest, hayrides, live music and more. This will be held in the Rainier City Park.

The Oregon Symphonic Band performs in Clatskanie on Sunday, presenting a Halloween program of “ominous overtures, menacing marches and other decompositions.” The concert will be held in the Clatskanie Mid-High Auditorium, starting at 3 pm on Sunday.
