Forecasters say that the rest of this week could be wet and windy. The Weather Service says that a series of systems are poised to roll through the area tonight through Thursday, with one to three inches of rain possible in the valleys. 48-hour rain totals could approach four inches in the Coast Range and the Cascade Foothills. Along with the heavy rains, the low pressure systems that are coming in will also have some gusty winds, possibly as soon as tonight, but more likely by tomorrow night and into Thursday. Some localized flooding is possible out of this latest bout of rain, and the winds could be strong enough to knock some trees down.
