Wire Theft

Posted on 1st August 2014 at 08:53

Castle Rock Police are looking into a wire theft and a vandalism incident that may be related. At about 8:20 yesterday morning, it was discovered that someone had opened up an underground vault on Huntington Avenue North, and then they went in and stole about 500 feet of copper wire. No suspects have been identified in the case, but some nearby homes have security cameras, so police are planning to look at those videos to see if anyone can be spotted. Later in the afternoon, Burlington Northern-Santa Fe Rail Police contacted CRPD, reporting that someone had opened up an electrical box in the 300 block of Cowlitz Street East, and then cut several wires. At this point, it’s unclear if this was a theft attempt.
