Melissa Joelle Gonzales, 30, of Woodland is being held on a third-degree domestic violence assault charge, as Woodland Police continue to investigate an incident that took place late Monday night at a home on Hoffman Road. Around 10:30 pm on Monday, a man was brought to the Woodland Fire Station, bleeding from a gash to his head. He claims that Gonzales hit him during a fight, possibly with a bottle or some other type of glass jar. Gonzales wasn’t at the home when police checked, but they eventually made contact with her last night. She was arrested at the home on Hoffman late last night, and was booked into the Cowlitz County Jail early this morning. Woodland Police continue the investigation into the incident.
